If you know me, you know my heart is not only in the highlands 24/7, my heart is also with couples who are so in love, even after years and years of sharing their lives together. Kelli and Zac have been married for ten years and wanted to renew their vows and elope at Dunscaith Castle, nestled on the coast in Isle of Skye. You would not have known from their tears and the way they looked at one another that they have already shared ten years together.
These are the film images from their day.
To elope in Scotland is to be surrounded by wild landscapes, lush green grass, friendly animals and even friendlier people. Zac and Kelli also had gloriously sunny weather, with epic winds blowing in from the sea. When you elope with me, I also send an amazing officiant your way; alongside off the beaten path locations and florals. I always say Scotland is the most romantic place on the planet and these analogue photos show why!
I always encourage traditional clothing for my loves. Kelli nailed her attire with a vintage inspired green jacket and tartan scarf. Scotland is not a place for high heels- her brown boots completed her outfit. Zac researched his familes roots so he could wear the appropriate tartan; please do not just pick any pattern that you have no researched! Luckily, even the USA has a tartan pattern.
(PS; there are Kilt rental places scattered all over Scotland!)
Can you feel the magic and romance between these two? I sure did and won't ever forget this day.
